The European Athletics Team ChampionsSecond League group has 12 continental countries which compete during 2 days. Up to now, the competition was organised annually except during an Olympic year. From the next edition, the event will be organized every 2 years (odd year).
European Athletics have 51 Member Federations, a promotion and relegation system between countries establishes participation in each league.
